Save the date for our first Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance Quarterly meeting of 2019! We have an exciting line-up of speakers including Beth Trenchard from Monterey Bay Community Power who will be sharing updates on their new EV Incentive Program and plans for transportation electrification moving forward. Alan Romero and David Frisbey, from the Monterey Bay Air Resources Board, will also be providing an update on their Plug-in Monterey Bay projects including their programs to further incentivize EV expansion in the Monterey Bay.
We also have Dr. Elliot Campbell, Associate Professor and Gliessman Presidential Chair of Water Resources and Food System Sustainability in the Environmental Studies Department at UC Santa Cruz providing a talk entitled ‘Could Car Swapping Accelerate EV Adoption?’. His research emphasizes the use of regional earth system and life-cycle models to understand climate change. This work has led to awards from the National Science Foundation, appearances in media ranging from NPR to The New York Times, and consultations to the U.S. EPA and other government agencies.
Finally, we will be highlighting our upcoming event line-up for the Spring such as Earth Day Santa Cruz where EV owners are needed to display their vehicles and talk with the public about their experiences with driving electric.
Thanks to Chevrolet of Watsonville for bringing a Chevy Bolt for those wanting to take a test drive! Sign-ups will be in our meeting room.
Coffee and light refreshments provided. For questions, please contact Emily Gomez, (831) 515-1328 or email@example.com.
