November 15, 2017 - November 15, 2017,
10:00 am - 12:00 pm,
Ecology Action, 877 Cedar St Suite 240, Santa Cruz
We hope you will join us for our last MBEVA meeting of 2017! It’s an exciting time for the electric vehicle movement; auto makers are finally stepping up and putting more models on the market, giving consumers a lot of great choices. Local dealerships will bring some of the newest cars to our meeting so we can learn about them, take a test-drive/ride, and help spread the word in our community that there is an EV model for everyone:
- Honda’s new Clarity Electric (test drive available)
- The Tesla Model 3 (test ride available)
- Chrysler’s Pacifica plug-in hybrid minivan (test drive available)
Test drives/rides will take place from 11am-Noon. Alan Romero from the Monterey Bay Air Resources District will also provide an update on his rebate and EV charging station installation program. We’ll have a group discussion about what to expect in 2018 in terms of increased charging stations in the Monterey Bay, rebates and polices affecting Electric Vehicles, and how we can best “plug in” to keep the momentum. Check out this New York Times article about auto makers expanding their electric vehicle plans.
We will have light refreshments and coffee. The meeting will take place at Ecology Action (2nd floor at 877 Cedar St in downtown Santa Cruz). For questions or to RSVP contact Emily Gomez at egomez(at)ecoact.org.
