Free EV & Alternative Fuels Workshop

Ecology Action and Plug In America will be hosting a free workshop for local residents interested in learning more about electric vehicles and other types of alternative fuel options such as biofuels and fuel cell. Join us to learn about the benefits, savings and trends of driving cleaner!

Whether you’re in the market to purchase or lease a new vehicle or are a recent owner of an alternative fuel vehicle, this workshop will provide you with all you need to know. Topics to be covered include:

  • Rebates and incentives: Including state and federal rebates as well as a new Monterey Bay resident rebate program from our local Air District that will be available Spring 2016
  • Electric vehicle types and popular models as well as other types of alternative fuels
  • Available vehicles on the market today
  • Operating characteristics
  • Vehicle comparisons

Additional workshop details include:

  • Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between Noon-1:30pm
  • A brief overview presentation will be provided from 12:30-1pm
  • Electric vehicles will be on display from local EV owners and Tesla Monterey will be displaying a Tesla Model S
  • Participants will have the opportunity to talk with local experts, local dealers, and owners who will be representing the most popular alternative fuels on the market today
  • Informational handouts, comparison charts, rebate descriptions and more will be provided
  • Light refreshments and snacks
