Alternative Fuels Workshop – Monterey County

Ecology Action, Plug In America and the Monterey Bay Electric Vehicle Alliance will be hosting an informative workshop for Monterey residents to learn about electric vehicles and other types of alternative fuel vehicles including biodiesel, compressed natural gas (CNG), and fuel cell. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the options available on the market to help you drive cleaner!

Whether you’re in the market to purchase or lease a new vehicle or are a recent owner of an alternative fuel vehicle, this workshop will provide you with all you need to know.

  • Types of alternative fuel vehicles
  • Available vehicles on the market today
  • Operating characteristics
  • Vehicle comparisons

Additional workshop details include:

  • Participants are welcome to drop-in anytime between 5:30-7:30pm
  • A brief overview presentation will be provided from 5:45-6:15pm
  • Participants will have the opportunity to talk with local experts, local dealers and local owners who will be representing the most popular alternative fuels on the market
  • Informative handouts, comparison charts and educational packets will be provided
  • Take a test drive in some of the most popular electric vehicles! Featured vehicles including Tesla Model S, BMWi3, Chevy Volt, and the Kia Soul. We will also have a Honda CNG and biodiesel vehicle on display.
  • Dinner and refreshments provided
